The SunDog clamp-on mattebox/sunshade has two stages (one rotating) and accepts standard 4 x 4 and 4 x 5.650 glass filters and resin filters. The sunshade is made of durable plastic with a non-reflective black finish. Three step-down adapter rings, size 79, 80 & 85mm, are available for use with the SunDog allowing you to adapt to a variety of lenses. When used on the Canon XL 1, you can shoot as wide as 3.5mm (the widest field-of-view possible with the 3X wide-angle zoom lens) without vignetting.

The clamp-on design allows the SunDog mattebox/sunshade to be used with a variety of internally focused lenses.
