It works with interchangeable XL-mount lenses, and any third party lens adapters that let you put cine-style primes on the XL2 will work on this camera as well. The XL H1 records to its internal HDV tape, but there's also an HD-SDI connection to let you record uncompressed HD to an external deck with HD-SDI input.
