Simply shoot, edit digitally and then transfer your digital movie onto film, looking more movie-like than ever because you're shooting it through film lenses.

The P+S Technik Mini35 Image Converter works by creating a 35mm image on a ground glass plate located at the film plane of the lens. This image is "optically frozen", then downscaled, and then projected onto the camera's CCD. Because the P+S Image Converter does not directly project the image from the 35mm lens onto the CCD in one step, you obtain the same depth of field, focal length and angle of view as a conventional 35mm film camera. Additionally, the Technik Mini 35 has its own iris, so you can control the amount of light that hits the lens without affecting the depth of field. This is the breakthrough to creative "filming" that simply wasn't possible before with the standard film or video camera setup.

The P+S Technik Mini 35 Digital Adapter was originally optimized for the Canon XL 1/ XL-1S/XL-H1, but it can be used with most other DV and HD cameras such as the Sony PD150/170, Sony VX2000 or Sony HDR-FX1/HVR-Z1; Panasonic DVX100 and HVX-200, and JVC HD100. Lens mounts are available for both 35mm film and 35mm still photgraphy lenses: Arri PL, Panavision, Nikon, Leica, Zeiss Contax, and Canon EF.
