The Glidetrack Model "HD Range" achieves the same smooth dolly movements that you can get from a larger dolly system. This HD Slider allows you to get more intimate with the subject being filmed such as table-top set-ups. Capture low angle shots by placing the track on the floor. Attain dolly shots in places normal dollies cannot go such as tracking with a person as they get out of their car (the camera slides and tracks with the subject from the backseat through the window to the exterior of the car).
The Glidetrack HD came about in response to requests from owners of heavier camera setups looking to get that Glidetrack look in their shots. Equipped with 2 tripods, a heavy duty but light weight track and a slider you can mount any HD-SLR camera such as a Canon 5DMk2, Canon 7D, Sony EX3 or similar. The system is easily transportable and the set-up and breakdown can be done in about a minute or less. Supplied with both 1/4 and 3/8 mounting holes/studs. Medium to heavy rigs or camcoders featuring Depth of Field adapters i.e Letus or SG Blade. You can achieve many of the same moves and shots as a larger dolly system.Just a few ideas could be . . .
- Ultra low floor mounted shots. Get RIGHT down beside the action in a way that no traditional dolly system ever could.
- Table Mounted Shots-How about doing your dolly shot in around through the items on a table. Again, a traditional dolly setup couldn't do that.
- Crane type moves. By mounting your Glidetrack at one end, you can do pseudo crane moves on the fly.
- Inclined dolly moves, By using two tripod heads, you can do your Glide at an angle. Try that with a traditional dolly!
We provide 2 Bogen Tripods for varying the height of the track and a head mount dedicated for the slider. If you need a standard tripod shot then one of the tripods can be utilized as a complete tripod set because we are also including an additiional head with bowl for this very purpose.
