The Camera Comfort Cushion is a shoulder pad designed for camera operators to help prevent shoulder pain and discomfort associated with continuous shooting. Our cushion is designed to give maximum flexibility suited to the camera operator and his or her equipment. The cushion works with a variety of camera sizes from shoulder-mounted MiniDV cameras to broadcast-sized and motion picture film cameras.

The regular Camera Comfort Cushion is 7 1/2 ” long by 7 1/2” wide.

The XL Camera Comfort Cushion is 7-1/2″ long by 14″ wide.

The pad pocket is 7 1/2” long by 4 1/2” wide. There is a 7” zipper attached to the front to easily insert the foam pads. The Camera Comfort Cushion is made with a 2mm Neoprene top. The bottom is made with a non-slip neoprene mesh, which clings to the shoulder, allowing minimal movement of the comfort cushion. Depending on personal comfort, each Cushion comes with a variety of inserts, which fit inside a zipper pocket. They range in thickness and density and can be arranged to the Operator’s preference. After several uses, the inserts mold to the operator’s shoulder making it a perfect fit. The Comfort Cushion is designed to hold up to 1 1/2” of padding. The Camera Comfort Cushion has two adjustable nylon straps with buckles that keep it in place. One strap wraps underneath the right arm to a side release buckle, while the other strap wraps around the chest.

The entire comfort cushion weighs 7 ounces.

How long is the strap?

The nylon webbed strap that goes under your arm can be elongated to 23 inches. The strap that goes around your chest can be elongated to 47 inches.

What does it come with?

The Comfort Cushion comes with one 3/4 inch rubber one 1/16 inch plastic and one 1/4 inch foam insert. For a limited time on 1/2 inch rubber will be free with the purchase of a Comfort Cushion. Extra inserts are available at an additional cost.

How thick is the comfort cushion?

The thickness can vary depending on the operator’s preference of insert pads. All pads do not need to be used at once. For the perfect fit allow 1 to 2 weeks for the Cushion and inserts to mold to your shoulder.

How much do additional inserts cost?

Additional 1 inch rubber foam inserts are $3.00. The 1/4th inch foam inserts are $3.00 and the 1/8 inch hard plastic inserts are $3.00.

Problems with insert pads?

Insert pads are cut to fit snugly, so they don’t move around in the Comfort Cushion while operating. The rubber and foam are best inserted by folding in half and opening inside the Cushion. If using the plastic, insert it first and then add other pads.

Is it water proof?

The neoprene shell is able to get wet without any problems. If the rubber insert gets wet, take it out and leave it to dry over night.

Can the comfort cushion be used in any environment?

Yes, the comfort cushion is designed to be used in any environment from cold to hot weather including getting wet.

Can it be washed?

Yes, just take the inserts out and the comfort cushion can be washed in cold water and left out to air dry.
